His Eminence, Sayyed Ali Fadlullah, emphasized that Muslims, both Sunnis and Shiites, represent a unified stand regarding the Islamic doctrine and law, calling for an Islamic meeting between the Sunni and Shiite religious scholars to discuss the draft laws set for family violence.
His Eminence, Sayyed Ali Fadlullah, received a delegation from the judges of the Sunni Religious Court, including Judge Sheikh Hammam Ash-Shaar, Judge Sheikh Abdul-Aziz Ash-Shafi'i, and Judge Sheikh Muhammad Hani Al-Juzo. During the meeting, they discussed the Islamic religious stand, as well as the legal stand from the draft law on family violence.
Moreover, they also stressed the necessity of unifying the Islamic Sunni and Shiite stand from this issue, and called for coordination in all the issues related to the religious Islamic aspect that are being discussed and reviewed in the official departments of the Lebanese State, and for taking a unified Islamic stand from these issues.
